How It Works
Getting estate planning documents signed and notarized doesn’t have to be complicated. I make the process smooth, secure, and stress-free — here’s how it works:
1. Attorney Sends Instructions & Documents
The referring attorney or law firm securely provides the estate plan package and outlines any specific signing instructions.
2. Schedule the Appointment
I coordinate directly with the client (or the law office, if preferred) to set up a convenient appointment — mobile, in-office, or online via Remote Online Notarization (RON).
3. Document Presentation
As a Certified Notary Trust Delivery Agent, I present the documents professionally and in the proper order — guiding the client through the signing process without giving legal advice.
4. Notarization & Witnessing
All required documents are notarized during the session, with additional witnesses provided upon request. I ensure every signature and notarization is executed correctly the first time.
5. Secure Return of Documents
Signed documents are returned to the attorney or designated recipient promptly — via scanbacks, secure drop-off, or same-day courier service, based on your preference.
6. Confirmation & Follow-Up
Once complete, I confirm the successful delivery with the law office and provide a summary of the appointment for your records.
Trust Documents We Notarize
As a Certified Notary Trust Delivery Agent, I am trained to handle the presentation and notarization of a wide range of estate planning documents with professionalism and precision. Below are some of the most commonly notarized documents during a trust signing appointment:
Revocable Living Trust
The foundational document that outlines how assets will be managed during the grantor’s lifetime and distributed after death.
Certification of Trust
A summary of key trust information often used in place of the full trust when dealing with financial institutions or third parties.
Pour-Over Will
Works in conjunction with the trust to ensure any remaining assets are "poured over" into the trust upon death.
Durable Power of Attorney
Authorizes a trusted individual to act on behalf of the principal in financial or legal matters if they become incapacitated.
Advance Healthcare Directive / Living Will
Specifies healthcare wishes and appoints a healthcare proxy in the event of serious illness or incapacity.
HIPAA Authorization
Grants designated individuals the right to access medical records and communicate with healthcare providers.
Deeds (Trust Transfer Deed, Quitclaim, Grant Deed)
Used to transfer real property into the name of the trust.
Assignment of Personal Property
Formally assigns personal or titled property into the trust to ensure full funding.
Guardianship or Conservatorship Nomination
Appoints guardians for minor children or dependents if the grantor becomes incapacitated or passes away.
